The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the other gamblers receive 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a figure on par with the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays out money equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
